1954 born in Leonberg, Baden-Württemberg

1973 - 1978 studied art education and painting at Staatliche Akademie der Bildenden
Künste Stuttgart

1974 -1977 study of art history at the University of Stuttgart

1978 - 1980 study of painting at the Hochschule der Bildenden Künste Berlin

since 1997 work as a freelance artist in Dresden
2002 scholarship from the Kulturstiftung des Freistaates Sachsen, artist in residence in
Ahrenshoop

2002- 2010 member of Dresdner Sezession 89

2015 artist in residence in Skagaströnd, Iceland

2016 artist in residence in Akureyri, Iceland
